Refreshing a page269The progress information in the title bar tells you how much data has beendownloaded to your handheld.If your handheld can’t recognize the file type, you see an alert dialog box thattells you that the file is in an unknown format. Palm Web Browser does notdownload the file.Stopping the download processIf you decide that the download process is taking too long, you can stop it.To stop a page or a file from downloading: Tap the Stop icon .You can make changes to improve the download speed, such as removing imagesfrom your web pages. See “Changing how images are downloaded” later in thischapter.Refreshing a pageSome web pages, such as news sites, change frequently. If you visit a page andspend several minutes reading an article, the web site may change during thattime. To make sure you have the latest content, refresh the page.To refresh a page: Tap the Refresh icon .You can also view old content instead of accessing the Internet. (See “Controllinghow Palm Web Browser accesses the Internet” later in this chapter.) Palm WebBrowser lets you know you’re looking at old content by putting a banner at the topof the page. You can force Palm Web Browser to download the latest content fromthe Internet by refreshing the page.Banner
