25INFORMATION ON DVD-R DISCYou cannot record a still on DVD-R disc, or deleteany recorded images or data.For optimum recording on DVD-R disc, this DVDvideo camera/recorder writes control data to thedisc in order to automatically make adjustmentswhen it is inserted and ejected accompanyingrecording. If the disc has no area to be written foradjustment, recording may not be possible. Toprevent this, do not insert or eject a DVD-R discaccompanying recording more than 50 times. TheDVD video camera/recorder will not perform “writeadjustment” when the DVD video camera/recorderis turned on again, from off, for recording with thedisc in it, or when no recording is made, even if thedisc is removed and then reinserted.lFinalizing DVD-R discBefore using the 8 cm DVD-R disc (not provided)on this DVD video camera/recorder on a DVDplayer or DVD video recorder that is compatiblewith 8 cm DVD-R disc, the disc must be finalized onthis DVD video camera/recorder.
