You can select thepicture with the desired exposure from the3 pictures with different exposures.1 Press 3 [ ] several times until[AUTO BRACKET] appears, setthe compensation range of theexposure with 2/1.• You can select [OFF] (0), [d1/3 EV],[d2/3 EV] or [d1 EV].• When you do not use auto bracket,select [OFF] (0).2 Press [MENU/SET] to finish.• You can also press the shutterbutton halfway to finish.• When setting auto bracket, the autobracket icon [ ] appears on the lowerleft of the screen.• When taking pictures using auto bracketafter setting the exposure compensationrange, the pictures taken are based on theselected exposure compensation range.When the exposure is compensated, theexposure compensation value appears onthe lower left of the screen.• The auto bracket setting is canceled if youturn the camera off or power save mode isactivated.• When setting auto bracket and burst modesimultaneously, auto bracket will beperformed.• When auto bracket is set, the auto reviewfunction is activated regardless of the autoreview setting. (The picture is notenlarged.) You cannot set the auto reviewfunction in the [SETUP] menu.• When auto bracket is activated,[AUDIO REC.] cannot be used.• The exposure may not be compensatedwith auto bracket depending on thebrightness of the subject.• When the flash is activated or the numberof recordable pictures is 2 or less, you cantake only 1 picture.• You cannot use the following functions.– [HI-SPEED BURST]– [STARRY SKY]Taking Close-upPicturesThis mode allows you to take close-uppictures of a subject, e.g. when takingpictures of flowers. You can take pictures ofa subject as close as 5 cm (0.16 feet) fromthe lens by rotating the zoom lever upmostto Wide (1k).∫ Focus range• We recommend using a tripod and theself-timer in macro mode.• When a subject is close to the camera, theeffective focus range (depth of field) issignificantly narrowed.
