Advanced (Recording pictures)64VQT1J82• The number of pictures indicated is whenthe shutter speed is faster than 1/60 andthe flash is not activated.• The burst speed (pictures/second) maybecome slower depending on therecording environment such as in darkplaces, if the ISO sensitivity is high etc.• If you take pictures in burst mode with thebuilt-in memory, it will take time to writethe picture data.• Hold down the shutter button fully toactivate the burst mode.• You can have higher speed burst if youuse [HI-SPEED BURST] in scene mode.Refer to P47 for information about[HI-SPEED BURST].• When the burst mode setting is set toUnlimited– The burst speed becomes slowerhalfway. The exact timing of thisdepends on the type of card, the picturesize and the quality.– You can take pictures until the capacityof the built-in memory or the card is full.• The focus is fixed when the first picture istaken.• The exposure and the white balance varydepending on the burst mode setting.When burst mode is set to [ ], they arefixed to the values set for the first picture.When the burst speed is set to [ ], theyare adjusted each time you take a picture.• If you are following a moving subject whiletaking pictures in a place (landscape)indoors, outdoors etc. where there is alarge difference between the light andshade, it may take time until the exposureis stable. If burst is used at this time, theexposure may not become optimal.• When the self-timer is used, the numberof recordable pictures in burst mode isfixed to 3.• Burst mode is not canceled when thecamera is switched off.• When auto bracket and burst mode areset simultaneously, auto bracket will beperformed.• When burst mode is set, the auto reviewfunction is activated regardless of the autoreview setting. (The picture is notenlarged.) You cannot set the auto reviewfunction in the [SETUP] menu.• When burst mode is activated,[AUDIO REC.] cannot be used.• When the flash is activated, you can takeonly 1 picture.• Burst mode cannot be set in[HI-SPEED BURST] and [STARRY SKY]in scene mode.Press [ ] to display the [REC] modemenu and select the item to set.
