(P74)This mode allows you to automaticallydisplay pictures vertically if they wererecorded holding the camera vertically orrotate pictures manually in 90° steps.∫ Rotate display(The picture is automatically rotated anddisplayed.)1 Press 4 to select [ON] and thenpress [MENU/SET].• The pictures are displayed withoutbeing rotated when you select [OFF].• Refer to P28 for information about howto play back pictures.2 Press [MENU/SET] to close themenu.∫ Rotate(The picture is rotated manually.)1 Press 2/1 to select the pictureand then press 4.• The [ROTATE] function is disabledwhen [ROTATE DISP.] is set to [OFF].• Motion pictures and protected picturescannot be rotated.2 Press 3/4 to select the directionto rotate the picture and thenpress [MENU/SET].3 Press [MENU/SET] twice to closethe menu.• If you take pictures when aiming thecamera up or down, it may not be possibleto display the pictures vertically.• The picture may be slightly blurred whenthe camera is connected to the TV withthe AV cable (supplied) and played backvertically.• When you play back pictures on a PC,they cannot be displayed in the rotateddirection unless the OS or software iscompatible with Exif. Exif is a file formatfor still pictures which allows recordinginformation etc. to be added. It wasestablished by “JEITA (Japan Electronicsand Information Technology IndustriesAssociation)”.• Rotated pictures are displayed rotatedwhen they are played back in reviewplayback and playback zoom however aredisplayed without being rotated when theyare played back in multi playback.• It may not be possible to rotate picturesthat have been recorded with otherequipment.[ROTATE DISP.]/[ROTATE]To display the picture rotated/SETMENU/SETMENUThe picture rotates clockwise insteps of 90°.The picture rotatescounter-clockwise in steps of 90°./SETMENU
