10.3 < Machine status and advanced setup>Language It allows you to change the language thatappears on the touch screen.Power Saver You can reduce energy consumption by settingthese features. Power Saver has two options,first Low Power Save turns off the scannerlamp under the glass. Power Save turns off thefans within the machine except a core fan forthe fuser unit. (Page 3.6)TrayManagementThis feature allows you to select the tray andpaper you use for a printing job. Paper size,paper type, and paper color options areadjusted here. Tray Confirmation Message isto activate the window asking whether you setthe paper size and type for the just opened tray.• Auto Tray Switch: If tray1 and tray2 are filledwith letter size paper, when tray1 is emptyand this option is On, then the machinecontinues printing with paper in tray2.• Auto Continue: When the paper ismismatched, meaning that tray1has filled withthe letter size paper, but the printing jobneeds A4 size paper, the machine will wait for30 seconds to paper in tray1 with propersized paper. After 30 seconds, the machineautomatically starts printing with Letter sizedpaper.• Paper Substitution: When the paper ismismatched, this option sets the machineprint A4 size paper in the Letter size paper orvice versa.• Wide A4: It is useful when printing in DOSmode. This option prints 80 charactors in aline, which printing 78 charactors in a line isusual in DOS mode.AltitudeAdjustmentPrint quality is affected by atmosphericpressure, which atmospheric pressure isdetermined by the height of the machine abovesea level. This feature lets you adjust thealtitude in a height district. Higher altitudelocation need to set this feature to High 3,which affects print quality.Output Options Output Options is for, when the staples runout, you to let the machine stop processing andwait to refill the staples or continue the job. Ifyou set Within Job Offsetting to On, theoutput paper is placed and sorted by job unit.You can also select stapling position forlandscape printing with Landscape StaplingPostion.Option DescriptionContentionManagementThis feature lets you to select the prioritybetween copy jobs and print jobs.• Priority: Set the priority by numbering thejob. If the HDD memory already has the samename when you entered a new file name, youcan rename or overwrite it.• Rename: If the HDD already has the samefile name when you entered a new file name,the file will be saved as a different file namethat is automatically programmed.• Overwrite: If the HDD already has the samefile name when you entered a new file name,the previous file will be recorded over with thenew file.Country You can change the country, then some of thevalues for fax and paper size will be changedautomatically for your country.
