7Maintenance and CareThe WARNING indicators show the state of the function which protects the projector. Check the state of theWARNING TEMP. indicator and the LAMP indicator to take proper maintenance.Warning IndicatorsThe projector is shut down and the WARNING TEMP.indicator is blinking red.When the temperature inside the projector reaches acertain level, the projector will be automatically shut downto protect the inside of the projector. The LAMP indicatorturns red brighter and the WARNING TEMP indicatorblinks while the projector is being cooled down. When theprojector has cooled down enough (to its normal operatingtemperature), it can be turned on again by pressing the ON/STAND-BY button.✔Note:• The WARNING TEMP. indicator continues to blink even after thetemperature inside the projector returns to normal. When the projectoris turned on again, the WARNING TEMP. indicator stops blinking.Then check the matters below:– Did you provide appropriate space for the projector to beventilated? Check the installing condition to see if the airvents of the projector are not blocked.– Has the projector been installed near an Air-Conditioning/Heating Duct or Vent? Move the installation of theprojector away from the duct or vent.– Is the filter clean? Replace the filter with a new one.CAUTIONDO NOT LEAVE THE PROJECTOR WITH THEAC POWER CORD CONNECTED UNDER ANABNORMAL CONDITION. IT MAY RESULT IN FIREOR ELECTRIC SHOCK.IndicatorsIndicatorsWARNING TEMP.blinking redThe projector is shut down; and the LAMP indicator islighting and other indicators are blinking.When the projector detects an abnormal condition, itwill be automatically shut down to protect the inside ofthe projector and the LAMP indicator lights on and otherindicators blink. In this case, unplug the AC power cord andplug it, and then turn on the projector once again to verifyoperation. If the projector cannot be turned on and theseindicators are still lighting and blinking, unplug the AC powercord and contact the service center.LAMP indicator lights onand other indicators blink.
