Menu User guide46Calling up the menu You can access the menu in the following way:Ensure the printer is powered off.Power on the printer whilst holding theUSER1 key.The printer initialises and the LCD displaysthe message:Menu configurations(User 1/User 2)Every printer is shipped with factory default settings. Basic settingssuch as emulation, character pitch, form length etc., which many appli-cations make use of, are set. At the end of this chapter you will find amenu printout (status page) (Status page (example), page 56) whichshows the printer’s default settings.Your printer allows you to set and use two independent menu config-urations (User 1 and User 2).
