Then powerthe printer on again.Ribbon CassetteErrorEither the ribbon cassette is notinstalled correctly, the ribbon is notfunctioning correctly or you are using aribbon cassette of a different manufac-turer.` Check if the ribbon cassette is in-stalled correctly (see sectionChanging the ribbon cassette,page 33).` Check the function of the ribboncassette. To do this, turn the greentension gear of the ribbon cassettein the direction of the arrow. Checkif the ribbon itself will be moved.` Ensure that the green gear on theribbon is correctly engaging with thewhite gear mechanism on the print-er. Reseat the ribbon is necessary` Only use original ribbon cassettes ofthe manufacturer.Paper LengthErrorEpson/IBM emulation: When print-out is going across the bottom edge ofa paper.Olivetti emulation: when printout willexceed the selected page length. (Incase of Epson/IBM emulation paperwill be ejected, if printout exceeds thepage length.)` When Reset Error Command orGeneral Reset Command (PR2) isreceived, if there is no paper in theprinter, the error message is can-celed, and it is in an online state.` If STOP Key is pressed, if there isno paper in the printer, it is in anoffline (STOP) state, and the errormessage is canceled.` May be resolved by switching pa-rameter "Continuous print" to "on" inthe menu.
