178Chapter 4 Coil Temperature AdjustmentCoil Temperature AdjustmentIMPORTANT This procedure applies only to models 6615, 6615Q, 6620, and 6620Q.Do this procedure only when the original controller board or shuttle frameassembly have been replaced or you are instructed to do so in a maintenanceor troubleshooting procedure. Do not do this procedure if the originalcontroller board or shuttle frame assembly were removed and reinstalled aspart of other maintenance tasks.IMPORTANT The shuttle frame assembly must be at room temperature to do thisprocedure. Power off the printer and let it cool for at least one hourbefore doing this procedure.1. Plug the AC power cord into the printer and the power source.2. Power on the printer.3. The printer must be offline to do this procedure. If the printer is online,press the ONLINE key. Press the MENU/ENTER key, and “OFFLINE /QUICK SETUP” will display.4. On the control panel, press the U + V keys to unlock the ENTER key.“ENTER SWITCH UNLOCKED” briefly displays. (If “LOCKED” displays,simply press = and > again. This is the default key combination. The lock/unlock key combination can be programmed by the user. If U + V doesnot unlock ENTER, get the new key combination from the user.)5. Press U + V + Y + Z to enter the factory menu. (Press all four keys atthe same time.) “Factory / Set Coil Temp” appears on the display.6. Press ENTER. The display tells you to “PLEASE WAIT” while the coiltemperature is set by an automatic calibration sequence in printersoftware.7. When the display again reads “Factory / Set Coil Temp” press U + V tolock the ENTER key.8. Press the ONLINE key to exit the Factory menu.9. Coil temperature is set. Return the printer to normal operation (page 155).
