20Chapter 1 TallyGenicom® 6600 Cartridge Ribbon Printer (CRP) SeriesPrinter Configuration CodeEvery printer has a configuration code which specifies the printer’s cabinettype, controller board revision level, V8 ASIC revision level, and MECA ASICrevision level. The configuration code is included in the configuration printout.Figure 2 shows how to interpret the printer’s configuration code.Figure 2. How to Interpret the Printer’s Configuration CodeForms HandlingPedestal ModelsPedestal models provide access to printed forms from the top cover with atear-at-perforation edge for ejected forms or a paper exit at the rear of the topcover. Pedestal printers also have a wireform paper tray attached to the frontof the pedestal and a wireform catch basket attached either to the back of thepedestal or to the back of the printer top cover.Cabinet ModelsCabinet models can be equipped with four kinds of paper stacking devices:• The fixed paper fence is a wireform divider that separates the sourcepaper stack from the printed output stack, and is used in combination withhanging chains that guide printed forms downward.• For improved performance at higher print speeds, the chains are usedwith a moveable fence called the “passive paper stacker,” which can bepositioned to match the form’s length.• The front access paper stacker consists of a shelf that holds the inputpaper and a sliding tray that receives the printed forms. The sliding traypulls forward, permitting the user to both load and unload paper from thefront of the printer. This option is helpful in locations where access to therear of the printer is limited or impossible.• For more demanding applications, an optional power stacker is available.(The power stacker is covered in Appendix D on page 353.)These devices are summarized in Table 1.FH06AACabinet Type:F = Floor CabinetP = Pedestal ModelController Board Revision Level.H = PSA3 boardV8 ASIC Revision LevelMECA ASICRevision Level
