The board is free from obvious damage.Y N| Replace the System Controller PWB (REP 4.10.7).2 Inspect the SIMMS/DIMMS removed in step 1 for obvious damage. The SIMMS/DIMMS are freefrom obvious damage.Y N| Replace defective SIMM/DIMM(s) (PL 11.3).3 Reinstall the System Controller PWB. Connect AC Power and switch the printer power on. Print aConfiguration Sheet (5.5.2.2.1) for Version 1.7X and below or (5.6.2.2.1) for Version 1.8X, or(5.7.2.12.1) for Version 2.0. The amount of memory listed on the Config Sheet is Base Memory.Y N| Replace the System Controller PWB (REP 4.10.7).4 Switch the AC power off, remove the System Controller PWB, and install one SIMM/DIMM intoslot 1. Reinstall the System Controller PWB, switch the printer power on, and print aConfiguration Sheet. The amount of memory listed on the Configuration Sheet is Base Memoryplus the value of the SIMM/DIMM.Y N| Go to step 16.5 Switch the AC power off, remove the System Controller PWB, and move the SIMM/DIMM fromslot 1 to slot 2. Reinstall the System Controller PWB, switch the printer power on, and print aConfiguration Sheet. The amount of memory listed on the Configuration Sheet is Base Memoryplus the value of the SIMM/DIMM.Y N| Replace the System Controller PWB (REP 4.10.7).6 Repeat step 5 until all slots on the System Controller PWB have been tested. Then proceed tostep 7.7 The printer contains additional SIMM/DIMM(s).Y N| The System Controller PWB and installed SIMM/DIMM appear to be functioning properly.Problem solved.8 Switch the AC power off, remove the System Controller PWB. Move the SIMM from last slot toslot 1. Install one additional SIMM into slot 2. Reinstall the System Controller PWB, switch theprinter power on, and print a Configuration Sheet. The amount of memory listed on theConfiguration Sheet is Base Memory plus the value of the two SIMM/DIMM(s).Y N| Replace the last SIMM/DIMM installed (PL 11.3).
