Scan to E-mailWorkCentre 7425/7428/7435System Administrator Guide101Registering an E-mail accountA mail account for the printer needs to be registered to a mail server when using POP3 mail receivingprotocol.Note: For information on mail account registration, refer to your mail server documentation.Configuring E-mail EnvironmentEnable the E-mail ports and configure the printer E-mail address, TCP/IP environment, and E-mailserver from the printer.Installation ProcedureThis section describes the configuration procedure to use the E-mail feature on the printer.The following two steps are necessary to use the E-mail feature.• Enabling the E-mail ports and setting TCP/IP• Configuring the E-mail EnvironmentEnabling the E-mail Ports and Setting TCP/IPFirst enable the E-mail ports, then set the IP address.1. Press the Log In/Out button on the control panel.2. Enter the System Administrator’s Login ID and Passcode if prompted (default admin, 1111), andpress Enter.3. Press the Machine Status button.4. Touch the Tools tab.5. Select System Settings.6. Select Connectivity & Network Setup.7. Select Port Settings.8. On the Port Settings screen, select Send E-mail and then select Change Settings.9. On the Send E-mail screen, select Port Status and select Change Settings.10. On the Send E-mail Port Status screen, select Enabled then select Save.11. Select Close.12. On the Port Settings screen, select Receive E-mail, then select Change Settings.13. On the Receive E-mail screen, select Port Status, then Change Settings.14. On the Receive E-mail Port Status screen, select Enabled, then select Save and Close.15. On the Port Settings screen, select Email Notification Service, then select Change Settings.16. On the Email Notification Service screen, select Port Status, then Change Settings.17. Select Enabled, then Save.18. Select Close until the Tools screen is displayed.19. Set an IP address.
