25GM FunctionAbout the GM(Group Monitor) featureThe GM (Group Monitor) function automatically checks to find if there are any stationswith the GM function in operation with the same DG-ID number within communicationrange. Setting the receive DG-ID number to “00” will check for all the C4FM digital sta-tions In/Out of range.Note: • Activating the GM (Group Monitor) function, the Digital C4FM mode is changed.• For communicating in the Analog FM mode, Set the GM function OFF.• The other member stations must also turn the GM (Group Monitor) function ON.When the GM (Group Monitor) is activated, the following information screens are auto-matically switched.GM information screenGroup Mode Display(Automatically switching display)Memory Tag Display* Frequency DisplayOwn DG-ID Number Display*: Memory tag display is displayed in the case of the memory channel or the home channelsetting the memory tag.In / Out Display• When another station with the same DG-ID number is within the communication range,a beep sounds and the “ ” is displayed, and the lower portions of the Mode/Statusindicator light blue.• When all the members are out of the communication range, “ ” (blinks) is displayedand the Mode/Status indicator light is off.• When a signal from another member station is received, the call sign of the other sta-tion is displayed on the LCD for about 10 seconds.Note: When the DG-ID transmit and receive are set to “00” in the factory default setting, allstations In/Out of range may be received and are displayed, but the other stationsthat set their receive DG-ID number to other than “00” may not be receiving yoursignals.
