9-22Oil pan and exhaust manifold012345678910ADisassembling the oil pan andexhaust manifold1. Remove the muffler “1”, plate “2”, andexhaust manifold “3”.2. Remove the oil pan “1” and oil strainer“2”.Checking the oil pan and exhaustmanifold1. Clean the removed parts.2. Check the exhaust guide, exhaust mani-fold, and muffler. Replace if corroded orcracked.3. Check the oil pan. Replace if corroded orcracked.Checking the oil strainer1. Check the oil strainer. Clean if there isdirt or residue.Assembling the oil pan and exhaustmanifold1. Install the collars “1”, a new gasket “2”,and the oil strainer “3”, and then tightenthe oil strainer bolts “4” to the specifiedtorque.2.
