Connect the battery jumper leads to thePTT motor lead “1” to fully retract thePTT rams.TIP:If the PTT rams do not move down easily,push on the PTT rams to assist operation.5. Reverse the connection between batteryjumper leads and the PTT motor lead “1”to fully extend the PTT rams.TIP:If the PTT rams do not move down easily, pullon the PTT rams to assist operation.6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 to fully extend andretract the PTT rams 4 or 5 times.7. Fully extend the tilt ram.8. Remove the reservoir cap, and thencheck the fluid level in the reservoir.Before removing the reservoir cap, makesure that the PTT rams are fully extended.Otherwise, fluid could be expelled force-fully from the PTT unit due to internalpressure.TIP:If the fluid is below the proper level, add therecommended PTT fluid. Repeat steps 3–7until the fluid remains at the proper level.9.
