Otherengine coolants may affect warranty coverage,cause an internal buildup of rust and scaleand/or shorten engine life.Prevent dirt and debris from contaminating theengine coolant. Carefully clean the radiator capand the surrounding area before you removethe cap.NEVER mix different types of engine coolants.This may adversely affect the properties of theengine coolant.CAUTIONIf the engine coolant pump must be replaced,replace the engine coolant pump as anassembly only. Do not attempt to repair theengine coolant pump or replace individualcomponents.CAUTIONUse a new special O-ring between the enginecoolant pump and the joint. Be sure to use thespecial O-ring for each engine model. Althoughthe O-ring dimensions are the same as acommercially available O-ring, the material isdifferent.
