If there is noclearance (Figure 8-14, (2)) between the V-beltand the bottom of the pulley groove, replace theV-belt.Figure 8-146. Reinstall the V-belt. Tighten the V-belt to theproper tension. See Check and Adjust CoolingFan V-Belt on page 47.7. Reinstall and tighten the drain plug or close thedrain cock in the radiator. Reinstall and tightenthe engine block drain plug or reconnect thecoolant hose at the oil cooler.8. Fill the radiator and engine with engine coolant.See Drain, Flush and Refill Cooling System WithNew Coolant on page 59.CAUTIONOnly use the engine coolant specified. Otherengine coolants may affect warranty coverage,cause an internal buildup of rust and scaleand/or shorten engine life.Prevent dirt and debris from contaminating theengine coolant. Carefully clean the radiator capand the surrounding area before you removethe cap.NEVER mix different types of engine coolants.This may adversely affect the properties of theengine coolant.
