START-UPZEISS Mounting standard components Axiolab 562 430037-7444-001 05/20193.1.8 Mounting the condenser• Move the stage carrier with the focusing driveto the higher stop position.ATTENTIONThe objectives should not collide withother parts.• Swivel out the front lens (if shiftable) on thecondenser using the lever (Fig. 3-13/7).• Unscrew both centering screws (Fig. 3-13/5) onthe condenser carrier until their ends are nolonger visible.• Using the knurled knob for vertical adjustment(Fig. 3-13/2), push the condenser carrier(Fig. 3-13/3) down as far as it will go.If using a low-power system, make sure thatthis does not come to rest on the luminous-fielddiaphragm.• Insert the condenser (Fig. 3-13/8 or 9) between the condenser carrier (Fig. 3-13/3) and the stagecarrier (Fig. 3-13/1). In doing so, align the screwed stud bolt on the underside of the condenser withthe groove (Fig. 3-13/6).• Press the condenser with the dovetail ring against the mainspring (Fig. 3-13/4) of the condenser carrieruntil the condenser sits horizontally on the condenser carrier.• Position the condenser on the carrier so that the screwed stud bolt sits against the groove (Fig. 3-13/6)at the front.• Insert the centering screws until they engage with the dovetail ring of the condenser.NOTETo mount other types of condensers, proceed in a similar manner.Fig. 3-13 Attaching the condenser
