Check the SIS for the most current and approved version of this document.2.1 System Check-Out ProcedureThe system check described below can be used in order to verify the proper function of the SL 800after completion of any corrective maintenance activity.Step Check Procedure Expected Check Result1 Check all housings and covers All covers as well as labels are installed properly,clean and free of damage.2 Check all visible screws All visible screws are fastened.3 Check all cable connections All cable connections are connected.4 Check all cable isolations All cable isolations are free of damage.5 Check all joints and removable parts All joints are properly fixed.6 Check the front objective The front objective is clean and free of anyscratches or damage7 Check the mirror The mirror is clean and free of any scratches ordamage8 Check the microscope The manual microscope changer can be turnedeasily by 360° without any frictionThe motorized microscope changer can be turnedeasily to all magnification steps without anyfriction, by using the plus and minus buttons at theoperator panel.9 Check the eyepieces The eyepieces are clean and free of any scratchesor damage.10 Check the fixation of any additionalaccessory, e.g. the tonometer.The accessories are properly fixed and functional.11 Check the full height adjustment ofthe instrument base.The instrument height adjustment can be properlymoved, by the joystick, to both end positions (upand down) without any friction or obstacles.12 Check the full range of motion ofthe x-y instrument base.The instrument base can be properly moved, by thejoystick, to all lateral end positions without anyfriction or obstacles.13 Check the function of all brakeknobs.All brake knobs can be used without any friction.14 Check the illumination unit. All filters and slit positions can be set without anyfriction or obstacles. The slit image edges should beparallel and can be fully closed. The LEDillumination can be set via the illumination settingknob within the full range.15 Check the external fixation light(if applicable).The external fixation light is fully functioning.16 Check the chin rest adjustmentmotion.The chin rest adjustment is fully functional, to bothend positions (up and down) without any friction orobstacles.
