Electrical hazard due to aging and wearThe electrical safety of the device may deteriorate due to aging and wear. Please obtain information on the relevant regulations in your country regardingelectrical equipment inspections. These must be adhered to! Unless legal requirements dictate otherwise, the operator is advised to carry out anannual inspection in which the electrical safety is tested in accordance with IEC62353. When performing the inspection, observe the following instructions.Procedure1) Perform a system check out,see Chapter 2.1, to ensure the SL 800 is inproper condition.2) If there are doubts about the effectivenessof the insulation (such as multiple triggeringof the fault circuit interrupter or otherprotective devices in the physician'spractice, or traces of liquid on the devicewhich suggest the penetration of liquid),measure the insulation resistance with a testvoltage of 500 V. The measured value may not be lessthan 7 MΩ.3) After this, the device leakage current mustbe measured. This is preferably done byusing the differential current method whilethe device is in its operating state. Press themeasuring tip onto the measurement pointsshown in Fig. 5. The measured value may not exceed0.1 mA.4) Record the measured values.Fig. 5: Use the indicated screw heads or blankmetal parts as measurement points forelectrical safety test
