Check the SIS for the most current and approved version of this document.4.1 Firmware UpdateTools and aids: Empty USB flash drive with FAT32 formatPrecondition: Check the service bulletin or the software download area for the latest software update Download and copy the software file to the empty USB flash driveProcedure:1) Switch off the SL 800 at the power supply unit.2) Remove all USB cables from the power supply unit (any connections to a PC, fixation lamp andwide field illumination).3) Insert the prepared USB drive into the lower USB-A port labelled with “USB 2A” at the powersupply.4) Switch on the device at the main power switch. The update starts automatically. After a brief moment, the successful completion of the firstmodule update is confirmed by two beeps. The data of all modules connected to the slit lampare now transmitted successively. Conclusion of each module update is confirmed by twobeeps. Depending on the number of modules to be updated, this process can take up to 10minutes. The end of the update is confirmed by five beeps.5) Switch off the SL 800 at the power module unit after successful update.6) Remove the USB flash drive.7) Reconnect the removed USB cables to the corresponding USB sockets at the power module.8) Switch the SL 800 on at the power module unit to continue working with the device.
