430 V7122 GatewayUser Guide IP: Enter the IP address you want to apply to the VoIP gateway. Use the normal dotteddecimal format. Subnet: Enter the subnet mask you want to apply to the VoIP gateway. Use the normaldotted decimal format. Ensure that the subnet mask is correct. If the address is incorrect, the VoIP gateway may not function until the entry is corrected and a BootP reset isapplied. Gateway: Enter the IP address for the data network gateway used on this subnet thatyou want to apply to the VoIP gateway. The data network gateway is a device, such as arouter, that is used in the data network to interface this subnet to the rest of theenterprise network. TFTP Server IP: This field contains the IP address of the TFTP utility that is used for filetransfer of software and initialization files to the gateway. When creating a new client, this field is populated with the IP address used by the BootP Tool. If a different TFTPutility is to be used, change the IP address in this field to the IP address used by theother utility. Boot File: This field specifies the file name for the software (cmp) file that is loaded bythe TFTP utility to the VoIP gateway after the VoIP gateway receives the BootReplymessage. The actual software file is located in the TFTP utility directory that is specifiedin the BootP Preferences window. The software file can be followed by command lineswitches. For information on available command line switches, see Using Command LineSwitches.• Once the software file loads into the gateway, the gateway begins functioningfrom that software. In order to save this software to non-volatile memory, (onlythe cmp file, that is, the compressed firmware file, can be burned to yourdevice's flash memory), the -fb flag must be added to the end of the file name.If the file is not saved, the gateway reverts to the old version of software afterthe next reset.• The Boot file field can contain up to two file names: cmp file name to be usedfor load of application image and ini file name to be used for gatewayprovisioning. Either one, two or no file names can appear in the Boot filefield. To use both file names use the ‘;’ separator (without blank spaces)between the xxx.cmp and the yyy.ini files (for example, ram.cmp;SIPgw.ini). ini File: This field specifies the configuration ini file that the gateway uses to program itsvarious settings. Enter the name of the file that is loaded by the TFTP utility to the VoIPgateway after it receives the BootReply message. The actual ini file is located in theTFTP utility directory that is specified in the BootP Preferences window.Using Command Line SwitchesYou can add command line switches in the field Boot File.To use a Command Line Switch:1 In the field Boot File, leave the file name defined in the field as it is (for example,ramxxx.cmp).2 Place your cursor after cmp
