selected depends on the status of the breakers and/or disconnectors. By checkingthe status of the disconnectors auxiliary contacts, the right voltages for thesynchronizing, synchrocheck and energizing check functions can be selected.Available voltage selection types are for single circuit breaker with doublebusbars . Single circuit breaker with a single busbar do not need any voltageselection function. Neither does a single circuit breaker with double busbars usingexternal voltage selection need any internal voltage selection. The voltages from busbars and lines must be physically connected to the voltageinputs in the IED and connected, using the PCM software, to each of theSESRSYN functions available in the IED.12.1.2.5 External fuse failure M12322-3 v12Either external fuse-failure signals or signals from a tripped fuse (or miniaturecircuit breaker) are connected to HW binary inputs of the IED; these signals areconnected to inputs of SESRSYN function in the application configuration tool ofPCM600. The internal fuse failure supervision function can also be used if a threephase voltage is present. The signal BLKU, from the internal fuse failuresupervision function, is then used and connected to the fuse supervision inputs ofthe SESRSYN function block. In case of a fuse failure, the SESRSYN energizingfunction is blocked. The UB1OK/UB2OK and UB1FF/UB2FF inputs are related to the busbar voltageand the ULN1OK/ULN2OK and ULN1FF/ULN2FF inputs are related to the linevoltage.External selection of energizing direction M12322-10 v8The energizing can be selected by use of the available logic function blocks. Belowis an example where the choice of mode is done from a symbol ,created in theGraphical Design Editor (GDE) tool on the local HMI, through selector switchfunction block, but alternatively there can for example, be a physical selectorswitch on the front of the panel which is connected to a binary to integer functionblock (B16I).If the PSTO input is used, connected to the Local-Remote switch on the local HMI,the choice can also be from the station HMI system, typically ABB Microscadathrough IEC 61850–8–1 communication. The connection example for selection of the manual energizing mode is shown infigure 97. Selected names are just examples but note that the symbol on the localHMI can only show the active position of the virtual selector.Section 12 1MRK 505 393-UEN BControl220 Line differential protection RED650 2.2 IECApplication manual
