reclosing will be started from zero. The sequence will continue as a three-phaseauto reclosing sequence, if it is a selected alternative reclosing mode. The secondfault which can be single-phase is tripped three-phase because the trip function(SMPPTRC) in the IED has an evolving fault timer which ensures that the secondfault is always tripped three-phase. For other types of relays where the relays donot include this function, the PREP3PH output (or the inverted PERMIT1PHoutput) is used to prepare the other sub-system for three-phase tripping. This signalwill, for evolving fault situations, be activated a short time after the first trip hasreset and will thus ensure that new starts (trips) will be three phase.12.2.2.21 Automatic continuation of the auto reclosing sequence M12391-223 v5The auto recloser can be programmed to proceed to the next auto reclosing shots (ifmultiple shots are selected) even if start signals are not received from protectionfunctions, but the circuit breaker is still not closed. This is done by settingAutoCont = On and tAutoContWait to the required delay for the function to proceedwithout a new start.12.2.2.22 Thermal overload protection holding the auto recloser back M12391-226 v3If the THOLHOLD input (thermal overload protection holding auto reclosing back)is activated, it will keep the auto recloser on a hold until it is reset. There may thusbe a considerable delay between start of the auto recloser and the breaker closingcommand to the circuit breaker. An external logic limiting the time and sending aninhibit to the INHIBIT input can be used. The input can also be used to set the autorecloser on hold for a longer or shorter period.12.2.3 Setting guidelines IP14929-1 v112.2.3.1 Configuration M12399-3 v3Use the PCM600 configuration tool to configure signals.Auto recloser function parameters are set via the local HMI or Parameter SettingTool (PST). Parameter Setting Tool is a part of PCM600.Recommendations for input signals M12399-7 v10Please see Figure 105 and default factory configuration for examples.BLKOFFUsed to unblock the auto recloser when it has been blocked due to activatingBLKON input or by an unsuccessful auto reclosing attempt if the BlockByUnsucClsetting is set to On.BLKONUsed to block the auto recloser, for example, when certain special serviceconditions arise. When used, blocking must be reset with BLKOFF.1MRK 505 393-UEN B Section 12ControlLine differential protection RED650 2.2 IEC 241Application manual
