The container reconfigurecommand allows you to perform the following operations: Transform an array from one type to another typeYou can transform an array from one type to another type.For example, you can transform a RAID 1 to a RAID 5 array.You specify the appropriate switches that the containerreconfigure command provides to transform an array. Add more SCSI drives to an arrayYou can add more SCSI drives to an array by specifying oneor more SCSI devices. This action extends the array. Thecommand uses the freespace(s) from the SCSI device(s) youspecify to reconfigure the array.For example, you can extend a RAID array by specifying oneor more devices. In this case, the array grows, but remains aRAID 1. Change an array’s stripe sizeYou can change an array’s stripe size by specifying theappropriate switch with a valid stripe size. For example, youcan change the stripe size of a stripe set from 16K to 32K.Note: The stripe size for a RAID 50 array is always64 KB. Change an array’s partition sizeYou can change an array’s partition size by specifying theappropriate switch with a valid partition size. For example,you can change the partition size of a mirror set from 500 MBto 800 MB. Extend an existing file systemYou can extend an existing file system by specifying theappropriate switch. (The command extends the file systemafter completing the reconfigure operation.)
