9W006 and 9W007 15I NSTALLING THE M ODULEInstalling and Launching SFVRA-CFGSFVRA-CFG database (which uses either MS SQL Server or MS Access) and the SFVRA-CFGapplication (which runs on a Windows 95 or Windows NT device).The SFVRA-CFG application is the interface to the database. Using this application, you cangenerate each system’s configuration files separately, with the system’s view of the network, thentransfer the configuration files electronically to the system.This section provides you with instructions for installing and starting up SFVRA-CFG.Note: The primary configuration utility included for configuring your module is the SFVRAConfiguration Manager (SFVRA-CFG). This GUI configuration utility will be sufficient formost configurations, however, if you will be setting up a complex configuration, you mayneed to use CFGEDIT, a more comprehensive configuration utility. Once you useCFGEDIT to make configuration changes you will no longer be able to use SFVRA-CFG.For information regarding CFGEDIT documentation, refer to the User Documentationsection included in this guide.I NSTALLING SFVRA-CFGSFVRA-CFG installation instructions vary depending upon which database you use.If you use MS SQL Server the installation steps are:1. Install the MS SQL Server according to the manufacturer’s instructions.2. Install the ODBC Drive Pack 3.0.a. Insert the SFVRA Manager CD into the device’s CD drive.b. Click Install ODBC Drive Pack 3.0.c. When prompted, choose the Complete Install option. If the installation fails, refer to theinstructions included in the SFVRA-CFG User’s Guide.d. If the Data Sources window is displayed during the installation of the ODBC Drive Pack,select to add a data source; otherwise, once the installation of the ODBC Drive Packcompletes, select 32 bit ODBC from the Control Panel and select to add a data source.e. Select the SQL Server driver. Click OK.f. Enter SFVRACFG for the data source name.g. For Server, select the device on which the SQL Server was installed.h. Click Options. Enter SFVRACFG for the Database Name. Deselect Generate Stored Procedurefor Prepared Statement.i. Click OK and then click Close.3. Install the SFVRA-CFG software.SFVRA-CFG software must be installed on the system containing the SFVRA-CFG databaseand on the system that runs the SFVRA-CFG application. Install SFVRA-CFG software usingthe following steps:a. Ensure that the ODBC setup has been performed on the systems.b. Close any active applications.c. Insert the SFVRA Manager Setup CD into the CD-ROM drive.d. Click on Install SFVRA Configuration Manager.e. From the displayed screen, select which SFVRA-CFG components you want to install.f. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation.
