9W006 and 9W007 25M ODULE C ONNECTIVITYConfiguration Using SFVRA-CFGFirst we will create the connection group with site Central as the central site, then we will add anyneeded dial out phone numbers, and finally, we will configure each connection with an IPunnumbered subnet.A DDING THE C ONNECTION G ROUPTo create a connection group with site Central as the central site:1. From the menu bar, click on Functions then click on Connection Groups, or click on thetoolbar.2. Click on Add.3. Enter Group1 as the group name.4. Click on Add.5. To define group members, click on Edit Group Members.6. Select the Central Site by clicking on the Central Site down arrow, then select Central from thedisplayed list.7. Select the Remote Sites that will connect to the central site. Since we want to select all remainingsites as remote sites, click on Select All.8. To automatically configure a connection between the remote sites and the central site, makesure there is a check next to Add connection to Central Site when Remote Site is added. This willresult in a star type configuration.9. Click on OK.Now we will continue the connection group configuration by entering any needed dial out phonenumbers.C ONFIGURING D IAL O UT P HONE NUMBERSWe only need to be concerned about dial out numbers that will be used by devices we areconfiguring with SFVRA-CFG. In our example this is only site Rem_1204. Site Central has no needto call out to the remote sites so it does not need any dial out numbers. Devices not configurable bySFVRA-CFG (in our example this would be site Rem_100 and site Rem_Modem) must have dial outinformation configured directly on them.Directory numbers we earlier configured under the site circuit information will appear under theconnection group telephone information. If the device dialing out to this number is required to useany prefixes (such as area code or a 9 for Centrex numbers) we will be required to modify thenumber to include the prefix. This is true for the dial out number used by site Rem_1204 to call intosite Central. To modify the number:1. From the Connection Group window shown below, click on Edit Group Connections.
