This is becausethe back of the rear-facing childrestraint would be very close tothe inflating airbag. A child in aforward-facing child restraint canbe seriously injured or killed if thefront passenger airbag inflatesand the passenger seat is in aforward position.Even if the passenger sensingsystem has turned off the frontpassenger frontal airbag, nosystem is fail-safe.
