See Fuel SystemMessages on page 5‑36 for moreinformation.Normal operation of the fuel gaugeincludes:. At the service station, the fuelpump shuts off before the gaugereads full.. It takes a little more or less fuelto fill up than the gaugeindicated.. The gauge moves a little whileturning a corner or speeding up.. The gauge takes a few secondsto stabilize after the ignition isturned on, and goes back toempty when the ignition isturned off.Boost GaugeMetricEnglishFor the CTS-V, this gauge is locatedin the instrument panel cluster. This gauge indicates positivemanifold pressure, which is theinduction air pressure level in theintake manifold before it enters thecombustion chamber. This gaugereads zero under light throttle beforeboost is generated. The gauge automatically resets tozero every time the engine isstarted.Engine Speed LimiterThis feature prevents the enginespeed from reaching an unsafelevel. If the level is too high, thethrottle closes or limits the fuelsupply until the engine speedreturns to a safe level. Throttleoperation and fuel supply return tonormal when engine speed islowered.
