Donot allow passengers or pets toremain in the vehicle when theintrusion sensor is activated.Before arming the theft-deterrentsystem and activating the intrusionsensor:. Make sure all doors andwindows are completely closed.. Secure any loose items such asa sunvisors.. Make sure there are noobstructions blocking thesensors in the front overheadconsole.Inclination, and IntrusionSensors Disable SwitchIt is recommended that theinclination and intrusion sensors bedeactivated if pets are left in thevehicle or the vehicle is beingtransported.With the vehicle turned off, presso in the overhead console. Theindicator lamp will come onmomentarily, indicating that thesensor has been disabled until thenext time the alarm system isarmed.Anti-theft Locking SystemThe vehicle is equipped with adeadbolt locking feature in additionto the standard door locks.If the vehicle has the KeylessAccess system, the deadbolt isengaged whenever you press Q onthe Remote Keyless Entry (RKE)transmitter twice withinfive seconds.If the vehicle does not have KeylessAccess, use either the removablekey or the RKE transmitter to lock orunlock the doors and operate thedeadbolt.. Hold the removable key in thelock position for a few secondsor quickly turn the key twice inthe lock cylinder to secure thedoors with the deadbolt.. Press Q on the RKE transmitteronce to lock all the doors.Pressing the button again withinthree seconds will secure thedeadbolt.When the doors are secured withthe deadbolt, the manual door lockcontrols will not unlock the doors.Also, if the theft-deterrent system isarmed, the doors cannot beunlocked using the power door lockcontrols.
