Black plate (11,1)Cadillac STS Owner Manual - 2011Windshield WasherThe windshield washer button is located at the end ofthe windshield wiper lever on the right side of thesteering column.K (Washer Fluid): Press and hold to spray windshieldwasher fluid on the windshield. The washer will sprayuntil the button is released. The wipers will continue toclear the window for about six seconds after the buttonis released and then stop or return to the preset speed.{ WARNING:In freezing weather, do not use your washer untilthe windshield is warmed. Otherwise the washerfluid can form ice on the windshield, blocking yourvision.If the fluid in the windshield washer fluid reservoir is low,the message CHECK WASHER FLUID will appear onthe Driver Information Center (DIC) display. It will take60 seconds after the bottle is refilled for this messageto turn off. For information on the correct washer fluidmixture to use, see Windshield Washer Fluid onpage 6‑34 and Recommended Fluids and Lubricantson page 7‑9.Headlamp WasherFor vehicles with headlamp washers, they are locatedto the inside of the headlamps.Press L located at the end of the windshield wiperlever, to wash the headlamps and windshield. After thefirst wash, the headlamps will be washed after the fifthpress of the windshield washer button.The headlamps must be on to be washed.
