To turn off cruise control, move the cruise controlswitch to 9.Erasing Speed MemoryThe cruise control set speed is erased from memory bymoving the cruise control switch to 9 or if the ignitionis turned off.Adaptive Cruise ControlIf the vehicle has adaptive cruise control, read theRadio Frequency Statement on page 8‑20 before usingthis feature.Changes or modifications to this system by other thanan authorized service facility could void authorization touse this equipment.Adaptive Cruise Control is an enhancement totraditional cruise control and is not a safety system.It allows you to keep cruise control engaged inmoderate traffic conditions without having to constantlybe reset. Adaptive Cruise Control uses radar todetect a vehicle directly ahead in your path, within adistance of 100 m (328 ft), and operates at speedsabove 48 km/h (30 mph). When it is engaged bythe driver, the system can apply limited braking oracceleration of the vehicle, automatically, to maintaina selected following distance to the vehicle ahead.4-15
