Your complete attention is always requiredwhile driving and you should be ready to takeaction and apply the brakes.Low-Speed DeactivationIf your speed falls below 40 km/h (25 mph) whilefollowing a vehicle ahead, Adaptive Cruise Control willbegin to disengage. The driver alert symbol on the HUDwill flash and the warning beep will sound. The drivermust take action since Adaptive Cruise Control will notslow the vehicle to a stop.Deactivation When Head-Up Display isTurned OffIf the HUD is turned off when Adaptive Cruise Control isengaged, it will begin to disengage. A warning beepsounds and the message RADAR CRUISE NOTREADY appears on the Driver Information Center (DIC).See DIC Warnings and Messages on page 4‑76 foradditional information. If Adaptive Cruise Control wasbraking when the HUD is turned off, the braking willcontinue briefly.4-23
