114EUsing a Memory CardThe camcorder can record, store and manage still images on 2 types of memory cards: the SDMemory Card (supplied with the camcorder) or the MultiMediaCard (commercially available). TheSD Memory Card has the protect switch to protect your recordings from accidental erasure. The SDMemory Card and the MultiMediaCard fit into the same slot.You can do the following with a memory card:• Record still images ( 118)• View still images: Single ( 120), Slide show ( 121),Index screen ( 121)• Select the quality of images ( 115)• Protect important still images against accidental erasure,print mark and erase still images ( 122-128)• Combine titles recorded onto the memory card withcamcorder recordings (title mix) ( 129)• Copy multiple still images from card to tape ( 132)• Transfer memory card still images to a PC ( 134)You can use most of the camcorder’s functions when recording to a memory card, such as thevarious recording programs ( 52), self-timer ( 71), shutter speed ( 77), white balance (80) and other manual adjustments.
