Cleaning — Unplug this product from the walloutlet before cleaning. Do not use liquid oraerosol cleaners. The product should becleaned only as recommended in this manual.6. Accessories — Do not use accessories notrecommended in this manual as they may behazardous.7. Avoid magnetic or electric fields — Do not usethe camera close to TV transmitters, portablecommunication devices or other sources ofelectric or magnetic radiation. They may causepicture interference, or permanently damage thecamera.8. Water and Moisture — Hazard of electric shock— Do not use this product near water or inrainy/moist situations.9. Placing or Moving — Do not placeon an unstable cart, stand, tripod,bracket or table. Power Sources — The CA-920 Compact PowerAdapter should be operated only from the typeof power source indicated on the marking label.If you are not sure of the type of power supplyto your home, consult your product dealer orlocal power company. Regarding other powersources such as battery power, refer toinstructions in this manual.11. Polarization — The CA-920 Compact PowerAdapter is equipped with a polarized 2-prongplug (a plug having one blade wider than theother).The 2-prong polarized plug will fit into the poweroutlet only one way. This is a safety feature. Ifyou are unable to insert the plug fully into theoutlet, try reversing the plug. If the plug still failsto fit, contact your electrician to replace yourobsolete outlet. Do not defeat the safetypurpose of the polarized plug.12. Power Cord Protection — Power cords shouldbe routed so that they are not likely to bewalked on or pinched by items placed upon oragainst them. Pay particular attention to plugsand the point from which the cords exit theproduct.13. Outdoor Antenna Grounding — If an outsideantenna is connected to the product, be surethe antenna is grounded so as to provide someprotection against voltage surges and built-upstatic charges. Section 810 of the NationalElectrical Code, ANSI / NFPA No. 70—1984,provides information with respect to propergrounding of the mast and supporting structure,grounding of the lead-in wire to an antennadischarge unit, size of grounding conductors,location of antenna discharge unit, connectionto grounding electrodes, and requirements forthe grounding electrode. See figure 1.14. Lightning — For added protection of thisproduct during a lightning storm, or when it isleft unattended and unused for long periods oftime, disconnect it from the wall outlet anddisconnect the antenna.
