(Thisis particularly convenient if your telephone is located awayfrom the MultiPASS L60.)❑ If you do not hang up after pressing the two-digit ID code, theunit beeps intermittently for a few seconds after you receive thedocument. (You can turn the beeping off by disabling theOFFHOOK ALARM in the USER SETTINGS menu. See pages13-4 and 13-5 for details. You can also disable this setting fromthe MultiPASS Desktop Manager. See the MultiPASS DesktopManager User’s Guide for details).N If you have an answering machine connected to your MultiPASS L60that can carry out remote-control operations (controlling youranswering machine from a remote telephone), the security code for thisfunction may be the same as the two-digit ID code described above. Ifso, make sure you change the MultiPASS L60 two-digit ID code to makeit distinct from the answering machine’s security code.
