Additional Information1908 TroubleshootingDo not disconnect the USB cable or the power source until you safely end the connection from the computer. Cannotwrite data with this connection. To write data to the camcorder, connect the compact power adapter then reconnectthe camcorder and computer.- The camcorder cannot be operated while it is not being powered by the compact power adapter and is connected to acomputer with a USB cable. In addition, clips cannot be written back to the camcorder. To avoid corrupting the data onthe CF card, use the computer’s Safely Remove Hardware function to end the connection and disconnect the USB cablebefore using the camcorder.- To be able to write back clips to the camcorder, use the computer’s Safely Remove Hardware function to end theconnection, disconnect the USB cable, power the camcorder using the compact power adapter and only then connect itto the computer again.Do not disconnect the USB cable or the power source until you safely end the connection from the computer. Connectthe compact power adapter- When the camcorder is in mode and is connected to the computer with a USB cable, the camcorder cannot beoperated. Disconnecting the USB cable or power source while this message appears may result in permanent loss ofthe clips on the CF card. Use the computer’s Safely Remove Hardware function to end the connection and disconnectthe USB cable before using the camcorder.- To be able to write back clips to the camcorder, power the camcorder using the compact power adapter and only thenconnect it to the computer using a USB cable.File name error- The folder and file numbers have reached their maximum value. Set [Other Functions] [Photo Numbering] to [Reset]and delete all the photos on the SD card (0 164) or initialize it (0 41).Invalid operation- The following operations cannot be performed.• Adding a shot mark to a clip that already has a shot mark or to a clip in frame recording mode or interval recordingmode.• Adding an e mark to clip that already has an e mark or adding a Z mark to a clip that already has a Z mark.• In mode, immediately reviewing a recording made in a special recording mode.• Pressing the START/STOP button when there is no CF card in the camcorder.Media full- CF card A and CF card B are full. Delete some clips (0 140) to free some space or replace a CF card.Media is almost full- The amount of available space on CF card A and CF card B combined is low. Replace the CF card that is not selected.No clips- There are no clips on the CF card to play back. Clips must be recorded (0 45) in order to play them back.No photos- There are no photos on the SD card to play back. Photos must be taken (0 161) in order to view them.No Shot Marks- This message appears if shot marks in a clip were deleted from the [Shot Mark] index screen. Press the INDEX button toreturn to the clip index screen.Number of Shot Marks at maximum- The shot mark could not be added because the clip already contains 100 shot marks (c and d marks combined). Youmust delete shot marks (0 143) before adding any more.Recorded in PAL standard Check data on CF A/CF B Initializing the card is also recommended- The CF card contains clips that are recorded in the PAL system. Save your clips (0 152) and initialize the CF card(0 41).Recording was stopped.- When recording a single clip for an extended period of time, the clip will be split into smaller video files every 2 GB. Thismessage will appear when the number of smaller video files reaches 99.SD card error- You inserted a MultiMedia Card (MMC) into the camcorder.
