99Recording 3Video ScopesVideo ScopesThe camcorder can display a simplified waveform monitor orvectorscope. It can also display an edge monitor* to help you focus. Thevideo scopes appear only on the LCD screen. They do not appear in theviewfinder or on an external monitor.* The edge monitor looks at the focus of the entire picture and displays the resultsas a waveform. The edge monitor is available only in mode.Displaying a Video ScopePress the WFM button.• The waveform monitor will appear in a window on the lower right of thescreen.• You can repeatedly press the WFM button to activate the video scopesin the following sequence.Waveform monitor → Vectorscope → Edge monitor → Off• Alternatively, you can display the video scopes using [J OtherFunctions] [WFM (LCD)] [Setting]. Select [WFM] for the waveformmonitor, [VS] for the vectorscope or [Edge Mon.] for the edge monitor.Configuring the Waveform MonitorThe camcorder’s waveform monitor function offers 5 modes.
