33-46 Performing Setup from the Control PanelRestoring the ColorPASS to factory defaultsWhen ColorPASS system software is first installed, a backup copy is madeautomatically. This backup includes the ColorPASS system software. If the AdvancedController Interface option was originally installed, the backup also includes theWindows NT operating system. You can recover from this backup if necessary withouthaving to reload the software from CDs.All job data is cleared when you restore the backup. For information about the itemsthat are cleared, see “Clearing the ColorPASS.” You must perform Setup again becausethe ColorPASS is restored with default settings.T O RESTORE THE C OLOR PASS:1. Make sure the ColorPASS is at Idle.2. Press the Menu button and choose Shut Down.3. Choose Reboot System.4. Immediately press the top line selection button and hold it until the diagnostics havefinished.See “ColorPASS Control Panel” on page 3-3 for the location of the line selectionbutton. During reboot, a progress bar indicates when the diagnostics have beencompleted.5. Choose Restore Backup.
