4.2.8 1-7* Start AdjustmentsParameters for adjusting the motor start settings.1-71 Start DelayRange: Function:0 s* [0 - 10 s] This parameter enables a delay of the startingtime. The frequency converter begins with thestart function selected in 1-72 Start Function. Setthe start delay time until acceleration is tobegin.1-72 Start FunctionOption: Function:Select the start function during startdelay. This parameter is linked toparameter 1-71 Start Delay.[0] DC Hold/delaytime[2] * Coast/delay time[3] Start speed cw[4] Horizontaloperation[5] VVC+ clockwise The start speed is calculated automat-ically. This function uses the start speedin the start delay time only.1-73 Flying StartOption: Function:NOTICEThis parameter cannot be changedwhile the motor is running.NOTICETo obtain the best flying startperformance, the advanced motordata, 1-30 Stator Resistance (Rs) to1-35 Main Reactance (Xh), must becorrect.Catches a motor which is spinning freely dueto a mains drop-out.[0] * Disabled No function[1] Enabled Enables the frequency converter to catchand control a spinning motor. Whenparameter 1-73 Flying Start is enabled, parameter 1-71 Start Delay andparameter 1-72 Start Function have nofunction.[2] EnabledAlways[3] Enabled Ref.Dir.1-73 Flying StartOption: Function:[4] Enab. AlwaysRef. Dir.1-75 Start Speed [Hz]Range: Function:Sizerelated*[ 0 -10 Hz]This parameter can be used for hoistapplications (cone rotor). Set a motor startspeed. After the start signal, the output speedleaps to the set value. Set the start functionin parameter 1-72 Start Function to [3] Startspeed cw, [4] Horizontal operation or [5] VVC+clockwise, and set a start delay time inparameter 1-71 Start Delay.1-76 Start CurrentRange: Function:Sizerelated*[ 0 -10000 A]Some motors, e.g. cone rotor motors, needextra current/starting speed to disengagethe rotor. To obtain this boost, set therequired current in this parameter. Setparameter 1-72 Start Function to [3] Startspeed cw or [4] Horizontal operation, and seta start delay time in parameter 1-71 StartDelay.1-78 Compressor Start Max Speed [Hz]Range: Function:0 Hz* [ 0 -650 Hz]This parameter enables high starting torque. Thisfunction ignores current limit and torque limitduring start of the motor. The time, from thestart signal is given until the speed exceeds thespeed set in this parameter, becomes a “startzone” where the current limit and motoric torquelimit are set to what is maximum possible for thefrequency converter/motor combination. Thetime without protection from the current limitand torque limit must not exceed the value setin parameter 1-79 Compressor Start Max Time toTrip. Otherwise, the frequency converter tripswith Alarm 18, Start Failed.1-79 Compressor Start Max Time to TripRange: Function:5 s* [0 -10 s]The time, from the start signal ia given until thespeed exceeds the speed set inparameter 1-78 Compressor Start Max Speed [Hz]must not exceed the time set in this parameter.Otherwise, the frequency converter trips withAlarm 18, Start Failed. Any time set inparameter 1-71 Start Delay for use of a startfunction must be executed within the time limit.Parameter Descriptions Programming GuideMG06C402 Danfoss A/S © Rev. 2014-03-31 All rights reserved. 354 4
