Creating an archiveTo create an archive1. In the Core Console, click the Configuration tab.2. From the Manage option, click Archive.The Create Archive dialog box appears.3. In the Create Archive dialog box, enter the details for the archive described as follows:Text Box DescriptionDate range To specify the date range, select the to and from dates.Archive password Enter a password for the archive, which is used to establish log in credentialsto secure the archive.Confirm Re-enter the password to secure the archive, which is used to providevalidation of the information that you entered in the Archive Password textbox.Output Location Enter the location for the output, used to define the location path where youwant the archive to reside. This can be a local disk or a network share. Forexample, d:\work\archive or \\servername\sharename for network paths.NOTE: If the output location is a network share, enter a user name andpassword for connecting to the share.User name Enter a user name, which is used to establish logon credentials for the networkshare.Password Enter a password for the network path, which is used to establish logoncredentials for the network share.Maximum Size Enter how much space to use for the archive. You can select from:• Entire Target• Specific amount in MB or GBRecycle action Select the appropriate recycle action.Comment Enter any additional information that is necessary to capture for the archive.4. Click Archive.Setting a scheduled archiveThe Scheduled Archive feature lets you set a time when an archive of a selected machine will beautomatically created and saved to the specified location. This accommodates situations where youwould want frequent archives of a machine to be saved, without the inconvenience of needing to createthe archives manually. Complete the steps in the following procedure to schedule automatic archiving.To set a scheduled archive:1. In the Core Console, click the Tools tab.2. From the Archive option, click Scheduled.3.
