Doing so willdamage it.• If a foreign object is caught in the disc tray during closing,simply press the 55 button again and the tray will open.Press the 55 button to set the DVD disc in thedisc tray.42 Turn on your monitor (TV).Switch the input selector on the TV to this unit.The disc tray can also be closed automatically to load thedisc by pressing the 11 button. After this, playback startsautomatically.7 Adjust the volume.The volume is shown onthe display.(Main unit) (Remote control unit)Press the 55 button.5Press the 11 button.6VOLUMEON/STANDBY5 12VOLUMEON/STANDBYMUTE123 Press the ON/STANDBY switch.• The power indicator lights orange, the power turns onand the display lights.Several seconds are required from the time the ON/STANDBYswitch is pressed until the power turns on. This is due to thebuilt-in muting circuit that turns off (mutes) the sound whenthe power is turned on and off. The power indicator flashesorange while the muting circuit is activated.Even when the ON/STANDBY switch has been pressed againand the power has been set to the standby mode, power isstill supplied to some circuits. When leaving home ortraveling, be sure to unplug the power supply cord from thepower outlet. In the standby mode, the power indicator islights red. The indicator is yellow when the timer is set.
