The PXG600Eincorporates a multi-layer set of security features to ensure your facility isnot compromised while providing you powerful connectivity capabilities.Password ProtectionThe PXG600E provides a two-level password authorization mechanism tocontrol access to data via the web user interface or from the web servicesinterface used by the Power Xpert Software.The “user level” of authorization provides:• “View only” access to data from the downstream devices• Ability to view trend data as well as view data, event and interval logs• Ability to download waveformsThe “user level” access does not allow for any configuration changes to thePXG600E itself.The “admin level” of authorization allows for reading and setting data indownstream devices. Admin level also allows for configuration changes tothe PXG600E.NOTICE: To ensure the security of your system, immediately changethe user and admin passwords after the initial login. Refer toConfiguration of Password on page 99 for details.NOTICE: To ensure the security of your system, only provide theadmin password to those individuals who will need to configure thePXG600E or trigger device actions.Secure Web BrowsingYou have the option to encrypt exchanges with the PXG600E’s embeddedweb server. This will ensure that information and passwords exchanged withthe PXG’s web server cannot be intercepted on the LAN. To login to thesecure web server you must install a root Certificate Authority (CA).
