PSU ConnectorThe harness from the switched mode power supply module plugonto this connector and provides the power (13.7V) to power thesystem.2. Engineer’s Remote Keypad ConnectorAn engineer’s remote keypad maybe plugged onto to thisconnector so that system programming and testing can be carriedout at the location of the control panel.3. Lid Tamper SwitchThis switch detects when the cover is in position and the screw isfully secured. The tamper is designed to activate when the screwis undone.4. Battery ConnectionsA 12V rechargeable battery must be connected to these twoterminals in order to provide continuous system operation in theevent of mains failure. The battery output is protected by an autoresetting fuse (PTC) rated at 1.6 Amp.5. Network ConnectionsThe network terminals provide connections to the remote keypadsand zone expanders. The + and – terminals provide power whilstthe R and R terminals are the data signals.6. Zone Inputs 1 to 10Detection devices such as movement sensors, vibration and doorcontacts are connected to the zone input terminals. There areseveral ways in which to wire a detection device (see page 11).Each zone is fully programmable, see page 19 for information onprogramming zones.7. Auxiliary 12VThese terminals provide auxiliary power for detection devices thatrequire 12V power, e.g., moment sensors. The auxiliary output isprotected by an auto resetting fuse (PTC) rated at 1.1 Amp).8. SpeakerThese terminals are used for driving 16Ω extension loudspeakers(see page 12).9. Bell Tamper ReturnThis terminal is connected to the tamper return connection froman external sounder unit. If it is not required link it to 0V.10. External Sounder 12VThese terminals provide power for external sounder units. Theoutput is protected by an auto resetting fuse (PTC) rated at 1.1A.11. Panel Outputs 1 to 5These are fully programmable high current (1 Amp), switchednegative supervised outputs. Panel outputs 1 and 2 default to belland strobe operation, but can be programmed for other functionsif required, see page 30 for programming details. Each output canalso be programmed for supervision monitoring, see page 25.12. Two-Wire Smoke Detector EnableSet this link as shown when connecting 2-wire smoke detectors toPanel Output 5.2-wire Smoke Detectors Enabled: Panel Output 5must be programmed as “2-wire Smoke” (0047)and smoke detectors must be connected as shownpage 13.2-wire Smoke Detectors Disabled: Panel Output 5will function as a normal output.13. Communication Ports 1 and 2Two serial communication ports 1 and 2 are provided for localdownloading and for third party devices.14. RJ11 Telephone Line ConnectorAn RJ11 connector is provided so that the panel can beconnected to the telephone line via a standard RJ11 patch lead.15. Telephone Line ConnectionsTelephone line connections (see page 14).16. Power/Status LEDOn steady when either AC or standby battery is present. Flasheswhen the on-board communicator is dialling or sending data.17. Battery Charging RateThe standby battery can be recharged at different rates:
