Maintaining and Troubleshooting the PM880 8-25February 2005Charging the Battery Pack1. Plug the pack into the battery charger.2. Connect the charger to AC power. When power is applied, theamber LED glows and the charger automatically beginscharging the pack.3. The pack is fully charged when the amber LED goes out(approximately 4-5 hours).IMPORTANT: When you receive your unit, you shouldcompletely charge the battery pack before youuse it for the first time.4. Remove the pack from the charger and reinstall it in thePM880. Refer to Checking the Battery Status on page 8-4 fordetails on monitoring the battery.
