Features and Specifications 9-3February 2005M Series and TF Series Moisture ProbesThe M Series and the TF Series probes are very similar. Bothprobes use the GE Infrastructure Sensing aluminum oxide sensorsto measure moisture, and a thermistor bead (optional) to measuretemperature. The TF Series, however, also has an optional built-in strain-gage-type pressure transducer. The sensor assemblies aresecured to a probe mount and are usually protected with asintered stainless-steel shield (TF-9 probes do not have a shield).Other types of shields are available.
