If your radiois capable, GPS position information is transmitted with DSC calls.• The AQUAMAP can receive digital selective calling (DSC) distress andposition information from the radio.• The AQUAMAP can track the positions of vessels sending position reports.If you have a Garmin NMEA 2000 VHF radio connected to your AQUAMAP,these features are also enabled.• The AQUAMAP allows you to quickly set up and send individual routinecall details to your Garmin VHF radio.• When you initiate a man-overboard distress call from your radio, theAQUAMAP shows the man-overboard screen and prompts you to navigateto the man- overboard point.• When you initiate a man-overboard distress call from your AQUAMAP, theradio shows the Distress Call page to initiate a man-overboard distresscall.Turning On DSCSelect Settings > Other Vessels > DSC.DSC ListThe DSC list is a log of the most recent DSC calls and other DSC contactsyou have entered. The DSC list can contain up to 100 entries. The DSC listshows the most recent call from a boat. If a second call is received from thesame boat, it replaces the first call in the call list.Viewing the DSC ListBefore you can view the DSC list, the AQUAMAP must be connected to aVHF radio that supports DSC.Select NAV INFO > DSC List.Adding a DSC ContactYou can add a vessel to your DSC list. You can make calls to a DSC contactfrom the AQUAMAP.1 Select NAV INFO > DSC List > Add Contact.2 Enter the Maritime Mobile Service Identity (MMSI) of the vessel.3 Enter the name of the vessel.
