The FPM depicts approximateprojected path of the aircraft.5.4.3.2 Zero-Pitch LineThe Zero-Pitch Line is drawn completely across the display and provides areference line by which to judge aircraft attitude with respect to the horizon. Itis not necessarily aligned with the terrain horizon, particularly when the terrainis sloped or mountainous.
