The numeric labels and major tick marks on the moving tape aremarked at intervals of 10 units, while minor tick marks on the moving tape areindicated at intervals of five units. Speed indication starts at 20 knots, regardlessof the displayed units.NOTE:Airspeed units (KTS, MPH, KPH) are configured to match the approvedunits for the installation. The Airspeed Indicator provides Indicated Airspeed, True Airspeed, andGround Speed. The Airspeed Trend Indicator shows what the airspeed will bein six seconds, if the current acceleration is maintained. The actual airspeed isdisplayed inside the black pointer. The Airspeed Trend Vector is a vertical, pink/magenta line, extending up ordown on the airspeed scale, shown to the right of the color-coded speed rangestrip. The end of the trend vector corresponds to the predicted airspeed in sixseconds if the current acceleration is maintained. If the trend vector crosses intothe overspeed range, the text of the digital airspeed readout changes to yellow. The trend vector is absent if the speed remains constant or if any data needed tocalculate airspeed is not available due to a system failure.Overspeed Range (Red)Ground SpeedAirspeed Trend Indicator (pink/magenta line)Normal Operating Range (Green)True AirspeedAirspeed UnitsCurrent AirspeedMaximum (Vne) Speed With Engine OnMaximum (Vne Power Off) Speed With Engine Off orMaximum Autorotation SpeedOne of the two marking types is selected during theinstallation configuration.ORFigure 2-7 Airspeed Tape
